We’ll teach you how to do the dang thing, go over staying warm, equipment, and climbing technique. This day is aimed at beginners, dabblers, or people looking to get back into it after a long break. What’s Included?

INCLUDED

  • World-class instruction from an IFMGA Mountain Guide in the Ouray Ice Park

  • Ice climbing equipment (ice tools, crampons, climbing boots, helmet, and harness)

  • Roundtrip transportation from Telluride

  • Lunch (locally made sandwich and side)

  • $25 per person contribution to the Ouray Ice Park

  • Rent paid to the Indigenous peoples $10 per person contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute

NOT INCLUDED

  • Personal clothing and equipment per our equipment list (Just ask if there is gear you need- we have lots of extras)

  • Accommodations in Colorado

  • Travel and/or rescue insurance is highly recommended

  • Customary guide gratuity

  • Costs incurred due to evacuation or unplanned departure from the area due to illness or other problems

  • Costs incurred as a result of delays beyond the control of Moxie

  • Costs as a result of force majeure

Personal Clothing & Equipment List

Please bring the clothing & equipment on the equipment list. **This list is a guideline. You do not need to go buy the exact layers, but will need something of similar warmth. If you have questions or need to borrow something, please just ask us!**

Acknowledgment & Assumption of RISK AND RELEASE & Indemnity Agreement

All participants are required to sign Moxie’s form prior to participating in this climbing day.

Refund Policy

Please note that Moxie will not offer refunds. Should you need to cancel your clinic registration, please reach out via email. In the event you are not able to attend, we will try to re-sell your clinic spot so that it can be filled by another interested participant. You will need to check back in with us after the clinic date to determine if we were able to fill your spot. If we are able to fill your spot, a voucher towards a future Moxie trip (less a 20% re-booking fee) may be issued.
