Introductory to Advanced
No prior experience is necessary. Participants must be able to walk on uneven terrain for up to two miles and climb a ladder. -

Via ferrata, Italian for “iron path,” is an exciting way to explore rugged terrain using steel cables, fixed holds, and natural rock features. Ouray’s route winds through the stunning Uncompahgre Gorge, just across from the legendary Ouray Ice Park.
With soaring views and airy sections above the flowing Uncompahgre River, this route offers an enjoyable, introductory to intermediate option—perfect for first-timers and seasoned adventurers alike. Led by expert IFMGA Mountain Guides, it’s a mountain adventure you won’t forget.
(People under 90lbs or over 265lbs will require a belay to ensure the equipment functions properly- this may require an extra guide.)
